Do you play Mafia Wars on Myspace? If you do, you know that sometimes the Godfathers will put out crates that contain ‘secret’ items. When you purchase a crate, when they are available, you don’t know what is inside. There are two different crate packages for purchase, a one crate package and a three crate package. In these crates, you can win items that were once up for purchase by the godfather, as well as a few new rare and hard to get items. Some players suggest that no matter how tempting it is to open up a crate and get a cool new item, in the long run they harm your character by lowering stats. So, open with caution.¹
