I just won a copy of Rachel Kauder Nalebuff’s My Little Red Book from Books Ahoy.

I admit that I have been wanting to read this book, which is about a very personal and intimate female topic: periods. They are something that women suffer through, certainly, from beginning to end. There’s discomfort, pain, yuckiness, never mind the initial fear most girls feel the first time. I’m always a fan of books that empower women not through strong, kick butt characters or fantasy situations, but through real life experiences. I can’t wait to read this one. The reviews on Amazon all give me a pretty positive feeling about the quality of this book.
