(No Ratings Yet) - Loading ...My name was drawn over at Sheri’s from A Novel Menagerie’s website Thursday’s Thoughts. I won any book of choice by or about an American President thanks to this entry on what I would give President Obama and his wife to read.
It was very hard for me to decide what book to read. I wondered if I should go into the colonial era and read about Jefferson or Adams. I was almost about to ask for the book John Adams by David McCullough. Then I also wandered over into the section about Roosevelt and picked through a few books, particularly a more personal bio on what he and his wife did while on the home front. And yes, I also looked through a few reviews of books on Grant, Johnson, AND Truman. It was a very hard choice.
In the end, I picked Lincoln on Race and Slavery by Henry Louis, Jr. Gates.
I always have a lot of fun answering the Thursday’s Thoughts challenges. So, all of you should go there every week and participate. The site gives really good questions to contemplate and not your typical meme style questions that you get on weekly blog memes.
