I remember when we coasted down from the sky, I could see the highway and a massive looking traffic jam that extended out of the city center. The best part about this side trip on the way to Utah was when we left to explore a bit of the city outside of the airport. After such a long flight, my mother needed a smoke bad. So, with a few hours to kill, we went for a walk. The air was so full of smog that it was unreal! I guess I’m just not used to those busy cities up in the North, what with being in the South and all where things are a lot slower and more rural overall. I ended up snarking my mother’s lungs the whole time and we were almost doubled over laughing.
